My Earliest Memory By: Will
My earliest memory is from when I was 5. I remember that I was sent to my room because I made my mom and dad mad. When it was nighttime and my dad came in and told me to get ready for bed. I remember I was wearing my gnome pajamas. My room was dark but there was a street light outside. I wanted to look at my sticker book but it was still too dark.
I also remember I had a dream that night. I was on a small boat and Steamboat Willie was driving it. There was a storm and the boat was moving around so much I thought it would sink. I don’t know how to explain it but there was a sea of letters. The letters were flat like they were drawn on paper and everything was black and white. I went to the back of the boat and fell off and I fell into the ocean of letters. It’s hard to explain but I was going through them but I wasn’t in it. I was crying and I asked Steamboat Willie to stop driving but I don’t think he could hear me and he kept steering and whistling. I was really scared even though I wasn’t drowning. Steamboat Willie’s boat faced me and the front of it looked too big and that it was over me and I started to cry really hard.
I woke up crying and my mom and dog Oreo came in. My mom put Oreo on the bed and he was giving me kisses and my mom sat at the edge of the bed. My mom asked me what was wrong and I told her my dream. After that I felt better.
I think this is my earliest memory because it was really scary to me. The lesson I learned is that when you are scared it is good to have your family even if they were mad at you.
